A little bit of blog housekeeping today.

I’m so excited to unveil my new blog design, a custom theme by my talented OH.  Thanks Jeff for all the hard work, I love it!  It’s been in the works for a while, and it’s so nice to finally have a look and feel that is “me”.  I swore I’d get a professional headshot before it was done, but that item remains on the to-do list for now.  All in all though, I think it looks great, and I’m so grateful to Jeff for spending his precious free time (or sleeping time) on it.  Love it!  Note that it’s CSS3 heavy, and best viewed in a modern browser ;)

I’m so honoured to be nominated for a Canadian Weblog Award again this year, this time in Social Media.  I’m in some great company for nominees, and truly pleased to be nominated.  There are lots of awards out there and many of them are voting-based popularity contests designed to drive traffic back to the award host.  The CWAs are different; they are juried by a panel of judges, and based on last year’s winners they have great standards.  I’m honoured to be in their company.

I was also nominated for a Shorty Award, and while I have no delusions of winning anything, I certainly appreciate the sentiment.  Thanks to those who nominated me!
